Leura Village Fair 2022
Leura Village Fair returns for its 40th celebration of Spring under the drifting blossoms of its famous cherry trees that were funded by the first Fair in 1981.
After a two-year hiatus, market stalls will once again line historic Leura Mall. There’ll be old faces and new with over a hundred stall holders offering a treasure trove of art, handicrafts, fair trade goods, vintage wares, herbal health and beauty, fashion, jewellery, gadgets and gizmos, toys, dog couture, cool-climate plants, preserves and fresh produce. Leura Fair is the time and place for early Christmas shopping without the panic.
This year the family fun for kids, parents and grandparents is being stepped up with face-painting, cupcake bake-off, and petunia plant-out.
There’ll be prizes for the finest spring finery so come along decked in flowers or dressed up as your Favourite Spring Thing with the grans parading their cutest and quirkiest hats.
Local choirs, musicians and street performers will add to the festivities and invite a sing-along on Sunday at 11am.
Fair-goers can also release their inner artist with Grounded Imaginaries community collage. Paint, weave, draw or glue your celebration of our resilient planet and its annual spring renewal.
Megalong Street car park will be the food and beverage hub with take-home deli favourites from baguettes to gourmet salami, and eat-here international cuisine to keep it fresh and just a little spicy. On your way through the walkway from the Mall to the car park, take a moment to enjoy the LVA’s Bicentennial mural of a flowering Leura garden overlooking the mountains and native flora.
Leura’s cafes and speciality shops will also be sporting their new season goods and taste sensations. Vote for your favourite spring window display and explore the old fashioned interiors and delights behind the State heritage-listed shop fronts.
Leura Village Fair is hosted by the Leura Village Association.

The Fair will run Saturday 8 October, 9am-4.30pm and Sunday 9 October, 9am-3.30pm.
